As the Principal of the School of Architecture at Sri Manakula, I am leading an institution that is dedicated to fostering creativity, innovation, and excellence in architecture. Our school is committed to providing students with a comprehensive education that combines theoretical foundations with practical applications. Our faculty members are highly qualified and experienced in fostering their growth. We offer a comprehensive curriculum and state-of-the-art facilities, including design studios, building labs, and digital fabrication workshops, which provide students with hands-on experience. Our department has always been dedicated to providing hands-on experience and industry-relevant education, ensuring that our students are well-prepared to take on the challenges of the architectural world. Through regular visits to architectural sites, interactions with renowned architects, and alumni, and continuous skill updates through workshops and talk series, we strive to provide a comprehensive learning experience that shapes well-rounded future architects. Studio

Sri Manakula Vinayagar School of Architecture has sufficient studios with drawing boards and stools/chairs. These studios also have a number of pinup boards so that the students can display their works then and there during the studio hours.

Lecture Halls

State-of-the-art lecture halls equipped with modern technology to facilitate interactive learning, collaborative discussions, and immersive lectures for students.

Material Museum

Variety of building materials and new materials that are introduced in the market are displayed in the material museum.

Cad Lab

Our state-of-the-art CAD Lab is equipped with 40 high-performance systems and laser jet printers, providing students with the latest tools for architectural design and visualization.

Software

Climatology Lab

Climate plays a crucial role in architectural design, influencing building orientation, materials, and energy efficiency.

Model Making Workshop

The carpentry workshop provides ample production space, access to power tools and extensive array of hand tools. The model making is done at the carpentry workshop.

Plumbing and Sanitation

Plumbing and Sanitation Lab is typically a specialized space where students can gain hands-on experience and practical knowledge related to plumbing, drainage systems, water supply, sanitation, and overall building systems.

IDEA Lab – 3D Printing & Innovation Space

The Idea Lab is a cutting-edge innovation hub, fostering experimentation, creativity, and prototyping. Equipped with advanced 3D printing technology, it allows students to translate their ideas into physical models, enhancing their understanding of form, materiality, and structural design.
